Phew... Indeed!

The ultimate quest to conquer a blogging routine never ends. My fellow sporadic bloggers will relate to me. We're the breed that wait to have that groundbreaking post in mind and then come so close to hitting that login button only to wander off again to that next song or phone call or TV channel or unproductive website. You also end up realizing that you're reading people's one line random blog posts and think to yourself - Gosh, I'm actually the loser here... and no.. not for reading that one line post and commenting on it.. but for not translating that exact activity into your own post.

So all things said, I figured it was time to do something different lazing on this couch on a random Saturday afternoon. Firstly, announce to the world that I'm staying in Oslo much longer. Yup, I signed my permanent contract with Opera and will function as EMEA Sales Manager. I love my job and life here just makes me sing for the moment.

Last weekend I experienced paramount exhilaration at The Download Festival. It was the kind of experience that leaves a permanent tattoo in your memory and puts you in a different league of music afficionados. Wearing that festival band and walking around the campsite, and later in the city made you feel part of a distinguished cult..way cooler than that hyped iPod cult... nodding at others with the same blue band on their wrists, and being stopped by unknown rockers alike, who were raging with jealousy for not having made it there. There were moments that brought deja vu's from the videos of Woodstock '69. The atmosphere was just intense. I can't elucidate the surreal and diverse feelings upon moshing or singing to each of those talented artists, or repeat the forgettable conversations with random stoned Joe's at 2:30 AM. But I can promise that I will do it again.. and you're hopefully joining me next time round. 'nuff said... here's your reason..

After Download, my list of artists seen live grew dramatically. Thought its finally time to humbly list down all of them lest I ever forget.
